| The Hopwood herd consists of such well known bloodlines as Arenosa, VB, Danby, J-J, Red Rock, Michigan, Masters, Cheg-Kim and Cody. We have virtually every color of the Shetland rainbow including the popular palominos, buckskins, silver dapples, true blue roans, and pintos (our pintos are PtHA registered or are eligible for PtHA registration). If you plan to be in Central Nebraska and would like to see the ponies please drop us an email or give us phone call to set up an appointment. Thank You for Visiting! Please check back often for updates and more information on Hopwood ponies! |
| At Hopwood's Pony Ranch we specialize in breeding quality American Shetland ponies that can perform in any discipline. When purchasing breeding stock we specifically selected for ponies with clean movement and conformation that could also win in halter. Hopwood ponies excel in harness, under saddle, in halter and in hand performance; in Shetland and Pinto breed shows, open shows and American Driving Society shows. Due to Glenn's health we have decided to reduce our herd and are offering many well bred, beautiful Classic, Foundation and even a few Modern Pleasure Shetlands for sale. If you see a pony on our site that you feel would suit your needs, don't hesitate to contact us. That individual itself may not be for sale but we may have a pony of similar breeding and type that is right for you! |
The photo above is of Phyllis driving one of her favorite mares, Red Rock Mike's Cookie. Cookie is ASPC and PtHA registered and is currently on lease to Peaceful Valley Ranch in Bandera, Texas. Pictured at left is the late Baron's Kitty VB and her 2003 filly Hopwood's Sunny Kiona. Kitty was the dam of our ASPC Classic Halter and Pleasure Driving Hall of Fame Gelding Hopwood's Sunny Lone Star. Pictured below is one of our Junior Herdsires, Hopwood's Tuxedo Junction. "Tux" is a National Shetland Congress Halter Champion and an excellent example of a Hopwood pony - one who is bred to perform yet has also been successful in halter. |
