| At Hopwood's Pony Ranch we have selected stallions that we feel will best compliment our mare herd. Each stallion offers his own unique qualities and strengths to our breeding program. All of our stallions are "A" Papered with the American Shetland Pony Club. Many are also ASPC Foundation Certified. All of our pinto stallions are also registered with the Pinto Horse Association of America. |

| "Sunny" is currently the most senior stallion in our herd. He has an impressive show record including going Grand Champion at the Nebraska State Fair in Halter in 2000 at the age of 17! He has also been shown in harness and is the sire of many accomplished show ponies including our Classic Shetland Halter and Performance Hall of Fame Gelding Hopwood's Sunny Lone Star. Due to his age Sunny is no longer breeding mares but we do have several son's and daughters in the herd. |

| "Jay Jay" is one of our homozygous tobiano pinto stallions. Jay Jay produces beautiful, colorful foals that do very well in the show ring and have excellent dispositions. Several of his foals have stayed small enough to be hardshipped as miniatures in the AMHR. Jay Jay get excel in both performance and halter and many are also wonderful childrens ponies.. |

| Mercury is our "Little Carousel Pony". He is an excellent example of what we feel a Foundation Shetland should be. A beautiful, elegant pony with bone and substance plus an excellent disposition. He is always a favorite with children who visit the ranch. Two of his 2001 daughters, Hopwood's Silver Peace Rose and Hopwood's Silver Laketa, have had very successful halter show careers for Platte Ridge Farm. Several other daughters are proving themselves as valuable assets to our breeding program and other farm's breeding programs. |

| "Charlie" get have literally "done it all"! The very first American Shetland stallion to ever be approved as an American Sport Pony First Premium stallion, EB Braggin' Rights (also known as Charles Commanche Cheif) is a Charlie son. Other Charlie get have excelled under saddle, in harness and in halter. Charlie daughter also make excellent broodmares and he is the grandsire of one of our other younger stallions, Hopwood's Sunny Arenosa Gold. Charlie is homozygous tobiano. |

| I haven't measured him but Dixon is small, probably about 39 inches. He should be small enough to hardship into AMHR. We got him as a yearling and he was still nursing on his mother. He has never been broke to lead but is gentle and friendly -.I'm just not strong enough to break him when he is full grown. We have used him as a sire and he has produced some small foals. These pictures aren't the best of him as he is more up headed than this and has a very pretty trot. He is a nice foundation type pony. |
